About Sakha Ek Pehel
Sakha Ek Pehel is a women-led nonprofit initiative dedicated to empowering underprivileged women through the timeless art of crochet and knitting. Based in Nithari village, Noida, Sakha is on a mission to turn traditional handcraft into a source of dignified livelihood, self-worth, and social change.
We work with over 80 women artisans, many of whom had never imagined they could earn an income, develop a skill, or find a supportive community. Through free training, consistent mentorship, and income opportunities, we help them become financially independent while creating beautiful, handcrafted products like baby clothes, accessories, home décor, toys, and more.

it is transforming the lives of underprivileged women and stray animals in the Nithari village of Noida.

Skill Development: Sakha trains over 80 underprivileged women in high-quality crochet and knitting—skills they can use to earn a living with dignity.
Caring for Stray
Animals
Sakha extends its compassion to animals by supporting a shelter for 180 stray dogs, providing them with food and medicines.
Building Digital and Sustainable Futures
Sakha seeks support for a marketing and online presence—so that more women can sell their work directly and reach a global audience.
